I love my school in Korea, I really do! But when it comes to college festivals, hands down Yonsei got it! lol. As you can tell by this video.
But of course I wouldn’t be complaining if I was actually at Sogang’s festival right now hahaha.

I’m not sure if everyone knows, but if you’ve been following me during my study abroad journey in Korea, you guys should probably remember that I ran into EXO before at the Incheon Airport. I shall post the picture again! Hahaha since I like to brag. Ahem.

So yeah~ Because of this fateful meeting, I feel like I have a connection with EXO and became a fan! Bigger one since I did like them before this ^^ Though I have to say, I’m more of an EXO-M fan than EXO-K, but they’re all talented boys so no hate!
Anyways! So I was excited when I heard they were having their comeback. Once the teaser was released though I was kind of…baffled? Since to me, and pretty much all the kpop fandom lol, saw them as cute little kittens prowling around trying to be like a wolf hahahaha. Exhibit A…

Yeah I’ve made my point with just one picture heh.
And then once the full music video was released, I was just speechless since well…there was just so much to take in! The song was crazy, the choreography was crazy, and just everything was so…crazy! lol. It wasn’t until I got my hands on the album and actually listen to all the songs did I finally came to the conclusion of, “Yes! I like it! This album rocks~” It also took me a few listens, but Wolf has now grown on me. As ridiculous as those “oolfs” were haha I came to embrace this song. It’s the typical hardcore style of a song that SM is known for. And I’m sure all the fans were excited to hear the full version of Baby, Don’t Cry. I was more excited to hear the full version of My Lady though hahaha.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT! Where is my man XiuMin!?!?! Like come on! He had two lines in the Korean version of Wolf and then had only ONE close up shot in the Chinese version of the music video!

This measly 1 second did not satisfy me at all! I know Kai is super popular and everyone loves him, but he does NOT need to be shown every other scene! And don’t even get me started on Chen who only finally appeared halfway through the music video. I’m not one who really points out SM’s abundant use of favoritism, but with EXO, it’s just too obvious for my liking. SM, you need to shed some light onto these other talented members too. I’m sure all the Kai fans will disagree with me, but hey~ that’s the kpop fandom for ya.
So to make up for the lack of my favorite EXO member, I will now proceed to post lovely gifs of him to share with the world~ Since everyone needs some baozi in their life hahaha ^^

XOXO <3
Someone asked me before if I met any soldiers while I was in Korea and my answer is yes!
There are a lot of times when they came to my university during official holiday breaks. The reason? To visit their girlfriends of course! haha. I still remember walking to class that day and seeing my campus filled with guys in their uniforms. It was then I understood the whole “all men look good in uniform” expression lol. And it was super cute seeing them be lovey dovey with their girlfriends since I know it must have been super long since they last seen each other. So instead of getting annoyed with all the PDA that Koreans usually do, I was very accepting that day hehe.
I also met a few soldiers too before when I was visiting a temple on a school field trip. It was the temple’s 100 something year anniversary the day we went so a bunch of soldiers were there for a visit. It was so funny seeing all of them eyeing us foreigners. Especially the girls! hahaha. It’s already enough that they have’t seen girls in awhile, but now foreigner girls? Yeah, those military guys were all in heaven alright hahaha.
Since there were so many of them, I decided to ask for a picture with some of them and they agreed right away! lol.

They thought I was Korean at first, but then I took off my sunglasses for a bit and they saw how big and light my eyes were and were like, “wait! you’re not Korean?” hahahahaha. It was hilarious. After taking the picture about four of them stuck around and started talking to me and asking where I was from and stuff. They were trying so hard to speak English to me it was so cute. I was like, “it’s ok! you can speak Korean to me. I understand.” Then all the guys were like omg she knows korean! One of the guy was even saying, I like you! to me hahaha. But alas~ their head sergeant saw them talking to me and yelled at them to come back. He even made them do the up and down squat thing as a punishment. The reason? For chatting to a foreigner girl apparently >< I felt so bad, but hey! They were the ones talking to me not the other way around lol. But even then, one of the guy was like eyeing me from the side and smiling at me. Trying to give me the it’s not your fault look. Awwww~
I think I like Korean guys when they’re in the military more sometimes because they’re so much more blunt with their feelings lol.
And now apparently for Sogang University’s Spring Festival this May 30th, Jay Park and Dynamic Duo are the performers…

Why is this always happening to me!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
So here’s the part in the new episode where Running Man filmed at my school in Korea!
Sogang University! Represent! lol~ There’s so many shots of my friends in this episode haha. Some of them even got to participate in the tug of war! One of my 오빠 was on the blue team with Kim Soo Hyun, Yoo Jae Suk, and Lee Kwang Soo!!!!
Sighs my jealousy knows no bounds!
IF. ONLY. I. COULD. HAVE. STAYED. FOR. ONE. MORE. SEMESTER.

So two-three posts back, I wrote that I’ve been talking to a Korean-American guy that I met through the 1km app. Well…we decided to meet up for dinner tomorrow!

…yeah this will be the first time we’re meeting up and since I didn’t want to like…give him the wrong idea that it’s a date (since really! its not!), I told him that I’m eating dinner with friends and that he can join if he wants. He told me he’s not 100% sure if he can make it on time, but he did say he’ll try to stop by for a bit since he also has other plans tomorrow night to meet up with his university friends.
Gyah~ I don’t know guys! We have a 7 year age difference! Because of this, I feel like I’m treating him more like a big bro than a lover, you know? I’m also like…testing the waters here. If I don’t have the lovey dovey feelings for him tomorrow, I can play cupid for him and one of my older friends. But yeah…I don’t know ><
Also! Speaking of 1km…so many Korean guys have been messaging me on that lately and they all seem genuinely nice. I did get creepers before, but lately the ones that have been messaging me are like guys who just moved to my area(ish) and are trying to fit in and befriend people. I can totally relate to this so I don’t mind the random messages. However, there has been two guys who seem…I don’t know…tooooooo eager? LOL. One guy was like
I’m driving down to your city this weekend, let’s meet up and hang out!
And I’m like………we literally just said like 3 sentences to each other and you want to meet up already? Creeper alert! Not to mention he’s like 30! NO WAY!

And then another guy messaged me saying he wants to do a language exchange with me, which I’m all for, but he’s like…constantly messaging me! And he’s also 27 years old too so I’m like…

What’s up with all these older guys! lol. Can’t I get someone like…I don’t know? 23-25? I’m only 20 people! Not even legal to drink yet here in the states so just…stop lol.
But yeah…can’t really say my love life is picking up anymore, but there’s been so many different guys coming in and out of my life lately…I’m not so sure how to react. My friends on the other hand are all like,

Damn~ you go girl!
lol oi~ what to do…what to do.
Today I received a postcard from one of my close friends! If you’ve been following my tumblr for awhile, you would know I mentioned about her a lot when I was in Korea. It’s koleah! ^^
Totally made my day! :)
So to the anon that asked me how my love life is now that I’m back in America. One word…
lackluster.

UNTIL RECENTLY! hehehehehe.

Honestly it’s nothing major lol. But yeah a little back story. Ever since I came back from my study abroad, I’ve been really dedicated to the whole befriend all the international students thing just because after having the roles switched when I was in Korea, I’ve come to realize that having friends who are locals and natives of the country that you are studying at tremendously help you with adapting. So~ this led me to befriending a lot of Korean international students at my school and also at universities around my area.
I also recently downloaded the 1km app, which is a Korean app where hmm…how do I explain it. It’s like twitter almost with the profile and status updating, but also allows you to know who are close within your radius. Like for example, I have a profile on there and then my friend has a profile on there and we live close to each other. 1km will show her up on my homepage as a person I can befriend because she lives near me. Get it? Yeah! So it’s like finding neighbors! Only…they’re all Korean…and most of them are in Korea so they’re not REALLY my neighbor hahaha. But then of course there are those who live in America and uses it too! A lot of Korean-Americans as a matter of fact. But woah ok I’m going off topic. So anyways!
I got a random message from a guy on 1km and apparently, he has just moved to my area for his current job. He doesn’t know anyone here so he downloaded 1km to see if he can find other Koreans to befriend. And of course, the first person to pop up was me! lol. After reading my profile he knew I wasn’t Korean, but I studied there and all that so he was I guess…interested? so he messaged me. We’ve been talking for a few days now and I don’t know if I’m over-thinking, but I feel like he’s going to ask me out on a date soon. Just because he kept saying how if I go out to invite him too and how he wants to meet me and more people and all that stuff. Of course I was a bit dense and literally thought all he wanted was to meet new people, but my friends were like no~~ he wants to meet up with you! yeah…I don’t know what to think lol. Help?
My friends keep making fun of me though saying how I’m only going to date Korean guys now and all that, but that’s not the truth! I love all men~ LOL. It just so happens because of my circumstances (studying in Korea, learning Korean, etc.) I’m being exposed to more Korean people so I become attracted to them. Not that I’m being picky! But seriously…you can’t deny that Korean guys have their own charms you know? hehe. And also because my one and only love is this man…

Yeah he sets the bar pretty high I know lol. But anyways~ So anon! That’s how my love life is right now in the states haha. There’s been a few crushes and attractions here and there with other people, but this is the most recent. I also have a feeling this might even lead to something hence why I dedicate this whole post to it haha. Hope I didn’t jinx myself. Please let this 1km guy be a good one!
Collection of Seoul Memories #4
If you scroll down a little, my last ‘seoul memory’ post was about my first date in Korea. So I thought this time I should write about my last date in Korea. It’s a bit bittersweet, but since it’s been 5 months now that I’ve been back in the states, I don’t really feel sad anymore hence why I can write this post now :)
My last date was with a guy that I will call Jae. A little background story about us two is that I first met Jae when I went clubbing with a group of friends. It was at Baby Gorilla (one of my favorite clubs if you read my best clubs post) and honestly it wasn’t anything special. I was dancing with my groups of friends when I saw him and thought he was cute and later on I noticed that he was looking my way too. But since he was also with a group of friends we both didn’t approach each other. After clubbing my friends and I decided to go to a bar called “Boss” and when we got there, it just so happen that Jae was also there with his group of friends. Coincidence? Must be! But Jae likes to call it “destiny” haha. Anywho~ in short, we all decided to sit together (since we recognize each other from the club) and befriended one another. Jae was sitting across from me that night so automatically we talked to each other for the majority of the night and that’s how we became close~ ^^
After our very first meeting and many more group hangouts and kakao messages later, we decided to become an “unofficial” couple since he knew I would be leaving Korea soon. He was also going to the army in February so it’s not like we could carry out a serious long distance relationship anyways. I guess you can consider us those contract couples? lol. Like the ones you see in kdramas! We were together for a month before I came back. But yeah…
Now onto the actual date! Let’s start~
I still remember the day that we decided to go out, it was supppppppper cold! Good thing it wasn’t snowing, but the wind was crazy! Since I knew it was windy, I didn’t even bother to make my hair really pretty or anything and just slapped on a beanie. However, I did do my makeup and everything so I still looked presentable haha. This date was either the 6th or 7th one that Jae and I went on. Honestly I didn’t really want to go out since it was really close to finals week and I had to really study, but then I also really wanted to see Jae since I had a feeling this would be the last time (although it wasn’t since I saw him twice more after lol) so I went.
He was waiting for me at the school gate and really blended in well with all the other Korean students. Since it was cold, he had the epicly warm and humungous scarf that you see all Korean people wear. It was a nice shade of blue that matched his backpack! hehe. I remember running up to him and kind of jumping on his back as a surprise, which almost made us topple over haha. But good thing he had fast reflex and caught himself and me ^^ Perfect example~

He then grabbed my hand and we walk to Sinchon station to cut through and go to one of my favorite little cafe/tea place called Cafe Chloris. Big thanks to my 오빠 for introducing me to that place haha. But yeah~ when we got there he kept insisting on sitting at the same side as me. The couch was big enough for two, but I just thought it was funny how he can sit on the other side with all the room in the world and yet he wanted to bunch up next to me. He loves to cuddle and I’m always like this when he hugs me too tight lol.

So we ordered our drinks and just sat there cuddling and talking about everything in the world. His english is not very good. Or better yet…even kind of bad lol. But after hanging out with me a few times he’s been brushing up on it again. Of course I didn’t really mind since with him I could practice my Korean, but it does get a bit tedious having to rely on google translate at times. Especially since google translate is just…horrible haha.
Our conversation did turn a bit serious when he asked me when I would be flying back. I was torn between having him seeing me off or not at the airport. But in the end we both agreed that it would probably be better for him not to. I didn’t want to feel even more sad than I would be already leaving the country that I fell in love with. As we were talking about all this I could sense his grip around my waist tighten a little and I ask the most dreaded question…or at least tried to.
“I know it’s only been a short amount of time that we’ve been seeing each other, but…do you…do you uhmm…”
“Do I love you?”
I nodded and he thought about it for a bit before giving me a slow nod himself. A part of me was hoping he wouldn’t say yes, but then again I was sort of happy that he did.
“But when you leave it will go away. When we don’t see each other anymore it will go away. It will be less hard since I can’t see you…when I’m in the military…”
Everything he said was true and it donned on me then how much harder it would be for him since at least I would be home surrounded by family and friends while he’s here where all our memories are. And having to go to the military…enduring everything by himself.
“Do you regret asking me to be your girlfriend? Or well…unofficial girlfriend?”
“Of course not! I was the one that fell for you first haha.”
And from there our conversation came back to how we met and all that good stuff. The serious atmosphere that was surrounding us was now gone and back was the idea of just enjoying each other’s company. We stayed there for another good half an hour before leaving to go to Ewha.
We didn’t do much at Ewha, but just roam the streets and a little window shopping. The most vivid thing I can remember is just how warm his hand was holding mines. My hands are pretty small and his was a lot bigger so I felt very…protected when he held my hand hehe. I recall trying to get him to buy couple beanies with me, but he kept refusing haha. After some more window shopping, we stopped at a small restaurant and ate dinner. Our conversations during dinner was pretty funny.
“Ewha has so many pretty girls~ I saw you staring at some earlier.” (I was saying this in a very nonchalant manner)
“What?!?! When!? What are you talking about! I was window shopping!”
“HAHAH! I’m just kidding 오빠!”
And then he threw his napkin at me haha. We ate till our bellies were full full full! I think it was about 8pm when we were done? We’ve been out since 2pm so we literally spent 6 hours together that day. I told Jae that I should head back to school again and study, but he insisted on grabbing some smoothie king before leaving. I agreed and we went to get some. I usually get the “strawberry kiss” flavor because I love strawberries and also because I love how the Koreans pronounce that flavor! LOL. It literally sounds like “su-tra-bu-air-ry ki-ssu” hahaha. Especially when some people roll their tongue saying “tra” it just makes me smile haha. I told that to Jae before and he kept saying it to make me laugh haha.
So then we headed back to school~ Once again he was holding my hand tightly while the wind was blowing at us ^^ My relationship with Jae was pretty secretive since we both knew it wouldn’t last. We found no point in telling any of our friends. But that night when he was walking me back, we ran into some exchange students at my school. I wasn’t close with them though thank goodness so they just smiled at me and wave with no questions. As we approached the front gate, I told him he didn’t have to walk me all the way to my dorm just in case more people will see us. He has some friends that attend my school too. He nodded and then let my hand go. I looked up at him waiting for a kiss, but he just stood there. I titled my head to the side and eyed him…
“What’s wrong?”
“Revenge. For what you said at dinner,”
“Revenge? How’s this revenge?”
“I’m not going to kiss you!”
“Uh huh…ok then fine. I’m going. Bye!”
I turned around laughing to myself knowing what he was going to do next and just like I imagined he laughed too and grabbed my backpack pulling me back. He put his smoothie king on the edge of the wall and held my face in both hands before kissing me. Now Jae and I have kissed many times before, but somehow I felt like this time around when Jae was kissing me, there was something more. Probably because we both were trying to savor these last few times together. Either way~ it was one of the sweetest kisses I had. After that he just gave me a giant bear hug and we stayed like that for a good minute or two ignoring the people that were walking by. We just blended in with the many young Korean couples walking around.

And then we parted with one last quick goodbye kiss before I headed back to my dorm and grabbed all my study stuff to go down to the lounge and study lol. Not anything super spectacular, but definitely one of the dates that I will remember forever.
Jae and I haven’t talked in awhile. Last time was in January before he went to the military. We’re still friends and so there’s no awkward feelings between us. But it’s probably because of the distance. If I were to come back to Korea and see him again…it might be a bit harder. Either way, we both have moved on now so just like the title of this post, it’s now just part of my “collection of seoul memories”
If you guys have anything you want me to write for my next post just let me know~ ^^
So I just downloaded the 1km app yesterday…
what did I get myself into? lol!
Here’s another clubbing clip from NB2.
As you can see, YG owns the club so they just have to play these songs!
Man~ the more I upload and update this tumblr of mines, the more I miss Korea T_____T
Must. go. back. soon.
Looking back…
I regret not knowing everyone in my 2012 Sogang University Fall Exchange sooner! My first two months in Korea, I spent so much time integrating with the locals and befriending all the Korean students at school that I barely knew people in my exchange. Now I loved all the Korean friends I made on this trip and I cherish every single one of them. But it would have been nice if I could have somehow learn to balance this…
By the third month, I finally got around to hanging with everyone and getting to know them. However, with a blink of an eye, those two months passed by and I always felt regret for not befriending them sooner. This group had some of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met. We were all so different, yet had one common interest in Korea. That’s how we met, clicked, and became instant friends.
It’s already been a little over 3 months since I came back to the States and yet, I still miss everyone and Seoul everyday.
sighs.
애들아…보고싶어…너무 보고싶어…우리 언젠가 다시 만날까?
Well…if you can’t read the title of this post, it says, “My favorite club in Hongdae!” Haha so now you can guess what this post is about ^^
First thing first! This is only my opinion! It will not be the same for everyone so please don’t argue about whether you agree with me or not. If you prefer another club over the ones I’m going to list then by all means~ you are entitled to your own opinion. Let’s just all be friends~ lol. <3
Alrighty~ So I’ve been to quite a few clubs while I was in Seoul. I mostly spent my time in 홍대 (Hongdae), but I did went to clubs in 강남 (Gangnam), 압구정 (Apgujeong), and 이태원 (Itaewon) also. Though like I said, I prefer 홍대 over the rest since the crowd is younger (university students) and it’s not as pricey (around $10-15USD max). I’ll write a post about clubs in those other areas soon so for now let’s focus on 홍대! ^^

Baby Gorilla
Music: Top 100 Pop Bilboard, Electronic and Old school hip hop
Size: Small-Medium Venue
Fee: Free for the ladies before 11pm, 10,000won for the guys, one ticket can give you access to the other two Gorillas (Papa and Mama) [1 free drink]
This club is the one that my friends and I always go to when we want a kind of chill and relaxing clubbing experience. One time we literally went here for 3 nights straight…yeah we’re crazy lol. The place isn’t too big. It’s kind of small actually (hence the name heh), but it’s still big enough to have fun and dance in. If you come before peak time (9-10pm) when it’s a bit dead, you can get 5 tequila shots for less than $5USD. They also have a drink called “bucket” which is literally straight alcohol in a mini bucket with a bajillion of straws for people to share. It’s around $10USD, but so worth it and a great way to strike a conversation with strangers when you’re passing around the bucket to everyone lol. Although ahem spreading germs, anyone? lol. Korea and their food sharing habits can be a bit overwhelming. But yeah anyways~ Super fun club! I met quite a few of my guy friends here and also met 3 guys here that I went on dates with too. Just a very fun club to get your dance on~ If you’re looking for hookups this club might not be for you since a lot of people come here just to dance.

NB2
Music: Electronic, Hip Hop and Old School Hip Hop (during peak time), occasional Kpop
Size: Medium Venue
Fee: 10,000won on weekdays, 15,000won on weekends, one ticket can give you access to the other two clubs (NB1 and Harlem) [1 free drink]
This was the first club I went to in 홍대! So it has a special place in my heart lol. However! Rumored to be owned by YG (or is it confirmed? not sure), this club gets mad crazy~! There’s always soooooo many people no matter what time or day. I mean…it is significantly lesser on the weekdays (Mon-Wed), but man is this club still packed! If you are looking for hookups, then this club is definitely the place for you! lol. Literally…I was in this club for less than 15 minutes and already got guys coming up to me asking to buy me drinks and all that stuff. Now when I go clubbing I dislike to drink to get drunk because when I’m drunk I can’t dance properly! So if you’re like me who really likes to go to clubs just to dance, then this club might not be for you. Since its always so damn packed, you can barely breath let alone try to dance. This club should definitely be changed to just a hookup place LOL. It defeats the purpose if you can’t dance! Not to mention there’s a lot of groping and touching up in this joint! LOL. But then again…they have awesome attractive line dancers who makes up for it lol. Too bad you can never dance with them, but I did manage to one time! That shall be a post of it’s own though one of these days haha.

Cocoon
Music: Electronic, electronic, electronic!
Size: Medium-Big Venue
Fee: 10,000won on weekdays, 15,000won on weekends (1 free drink)
So although I put this club in my favorite clubs list, this one is kind of a hit or miss in my opinion. I went here 3 times and out of the 3 times, I only had fun on the 1st time. This club gets packed like crazy too, but since the aircon is like…right above your head (if you’re near the front to middle), it feels suppppppper nice, which makes it a bit more bearable than NB2 hehe. This is also a good hookup club, but I feel like its more for Western foreigners. Like I’m also American, but because I’m Asian-American, I didn’t get hit on as much as my other American friends did. Not too sure about the drinks and stuff here because like I mention previously, I barely drink when I go out for clubbing. So this club also have line dancers, but not as much. They do have large platforms for people to get up and dance on. I usually like to dance on these since I’m elevated and can actually breath. Also, since I have room to show off my moves hahaha. The only con about this club is that sometimes the music can be crappy. I mean…I like electronic music, but if I have to hear the same 3 beats repeated over and over for an hour I think my mind is going to combust! The DJ totally determines if I will have fun or not at Cocoon and only one time did I have fun, which is a bummer.
So there you have it! My top 3 clubs in 홍대 that I go to. Hope you guys liked it and it was informative/detailed enough for you all. If you have anymore questions feel free to message me ^^
Not sure if this can be categorized as a rant, but I didn’t know what else to label it so heh.
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of post on tumblr in the Korea tag of people that are interested in studying or visiting South Korea, but are afraid of being judged by their physical appearance when there. From a person who has recently just came back and is nowhere NEAR the skinny size that a lot of Koreans are, I just want to let you guys know that a majority of Koreans don’t even care! And I mean it!
Before I left and during the first week I was in Korea I was constantly worried about how the locals would view me. In my mind I kept thinking how they all will think I’m fat and how I’m a stereotypical American, but none of that happened! I really was worrying for nothing because people in Seoul were all sooooooooooo nice and friendly. I don’t think I’ve been to any other place where the people were as kind to strangers (and foreigners at that!) as people in Seoul were. They are all just excited that you have any slight interest in their country and culture at all. Top that with being able to speak any bit of Korean and they will literally shower you with endless compliments. Believe me, I got this so many times.
People come in all shapes and sizes and granted, a lot of Korean people in Seoul are skinny, but its not everyone! I saw girls and boys who were big, skinny, tall, short, wide, chubby, lean, muscular, lanky, etc. etc. etc.! Just because idols are what they look like, doesn’t mean that it applies to the whole population of Korea. Not to mention, even idols don’t appear exactly as how they are in photos. The vast majority of idols that I did get to see in real life are all actually very short and wear a lot of heavy makeup. It’s also their job to look attractive so of course they will put more effort into their appearance. However, every day normal netizens of Korea usually are bare-faced or wear minimum make-up and in normal everyday clothing.
Speaking of clothing! That’s probably the only thing you have to worry about. Lord knows I had a hard time finding ANY pants that would fit my calves, thighs, butt…literally just my whole bottom half lol. I had no problem with tops though since Koreans love their oversize/baggy sweaters, shirts, and blouses. Just don’t be fooled by the one size thing because it ain’t the truth! hahaha.
But yeah…to all my ladies! Yes, I do have the pale white skin and big double eyelid eyes that Koreans all strive to have, but I am not skinny or tall and never will I ever have that perfect S-line. Yet! the many Korean guys that I met, befriended, or dated all said they like how I look. They liked the fact that I wasn’t stick skinny and they liked the fact that my face isn’t the size of a pea! Every guy has their own ideal image of the girl they like and truthfully, guys will be guys. If there was a super attractive skinny girl with no curves and an equally attractive thicker with all the curves girl, I’m pretty sure a lot of guys would go for the later. Especially if you’re in the club! Can’t deny that one! lol.
What I did find is that Korean guys don’t really like foreigner girls who are over the top and trying too hard to behave exactly like Koreans. I noticed that a lot of foreigner girls (especially those that are fans of kpop) often try too hard with 애교 and a lot of my Korean guy friends hated it. Honestly, it really all just comes down to being yourself. I thought I had a lot of 애교 myself until I came to Korea and witness the authentic Korean girl 애교 act. I don’t know how many times I cringe and maybe even threw up in my mouth a little when I pass by or see Korean girls do immense 애교 to whomever.

Now to all my guys…don’t worry! A lot of Korean girls are well…quite frankly, into foreigner guys. As long as you have a good heart, manly and just a sprinkle of 애교 lol, Korean girls will definitely fall for you. One of my good guy friend from Poland that was in the exchange program with me met a Korean girl while there and are still dating now! Although mad props to them because long distance sucks.
Anyways~ the final thing is just be confident! Confidence is one of the characteristics that a lot of Koreans lack because of various reasons. Sadly, I’m not popular in the love department here in America, but while in Korea! I felt very…desirable? and wanted? LOL! And that’s all because they were attracted to my confidence, or so they tell me at least haha.
So guys and gals! Let go of your worries and just shoot all of the Koreans your best confident smile and you will capture all their hearts! ^^ And if some low-life really does ever give you crap about your appearance while in Korea, well…

Much love everyone! <3
